Short Stay & Observation Unit
Beds to rest and be monitored for a few hours — for IV drips, dehydration, or when the doctor wants to keep an eye on you.
Sometimes you don’t need a full hospital admission, but you shouldn’t just go back to your guesthouse either. Our short-stay unit gives you a clean, quiet bed where our team can watch over you for a few hours — while a drip runs, a fever settles, or the doctor makes sure you’re safe to leave.
What’s included
- A bed for a few hours of rest and monitoring
- Observation for dehydration, food poisoning, fever, or after an IV drip
- Regular checks of your temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- A calm place to recover before heading back to your stay
- Admission to hospital arranged if you need more than we can give here
- Itemised receipt in English for your travel insurance
When to come in
If you feel too unwell to be on your own — persistent vomiting, a drip you need to finish, a fever that needs watching, or the doctor simply wants to keep an eye on you — we’ll settle you into the unit. Open twenty-four hours a day.
